Prisoner beaten for refusing to serve prisoner’s food to canine unit at
Combinado
de Guantánamo.

The prisoner Yodi Pérez Franco accuses before the
international public opinion,Captain Víctor Reyes Cobas,
reeducator of Detachment No. 1 of Section A-500 of the
prison Combinado de Guantánamo for leaving 15 inmates
without their meal in order to feed his dogs.
The incident occurred on February 19th, while the prisoner
was serving the meal to the prisoners. Reyes Cobas appeared with two bowls
and ordered the prisoner to place all the food left in the pot in two bowls
for his dogs.
Pérez Franco protested stating that 15 prisoners would be
left without food for the day. As a result, Reyes Cobas
gave a brutal beating to the prisoner forcing him to leave
the inmates without any food for the day.
