Oppositionist who held up sign in park is missing
(MATANZAS/CUBA/May 27th/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)-
Last Saturday afternoon, May 17, oppositionist
Fermín Scull Zulueta was in a park across from the
church in the municipality of Colón with a sign
that read: FIDEL, THIEF, HUNGER, AND MISERY. He
was detained half an hour later by the political
police and as of this date his whereabouts are
unknown.
Scull Zulueta had served a one year prison sentence
because of incidents which took place in November
1999, in the park "Dolores", in Lawton, a town in
Havana. His trial for that arrest took place during
February 2000 together with that of Dr. Oscar Elias
Biscet González and Eduardo Díaz Fleitas, wherein
Dr. Biscet was sentenced to 3 years in prison and
Fleitas was absolved.
