Agenda for the Transition repudiates the Cuban
government’s actions against the Ladies in White.
Agenda for a Transition needs to be on record regarding the abhorrence of
the Cuban regime against the Cuban Ladies in White, wives and sisters of
political prisoners of the Groups of the 75.
The Ladies in White were subjected to physical abuse today, while they were
calling at the Plaza of the Revolution in the city of Havana, for the
release of the prisoners of the Group of 75, whom have already completed
more than 5 years of an unjustly prison term imposed by the Cuban Regime.
These women have the right to peacefully seek the release of their husbands
and relatives from prison without being subjected to abuse and humiliation
The prisoners who are honorary members of Agenda for the Transition, have
our unconditional support, as well as their wives, mothers, sisters. And
they can be assured that we will be where ever they ask for us to be.
