They put in a watch point to monitor Cuban independent
journalist.
SANTA CLARA, CUBA- April 25 (Yoel Espinosa Medrano/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)
- A watch point was placed near the home of independent journalist and
director of Cubanacan Press Guillermo Farinas Hernandez in order to monitor
his every move in Santa Clara.
A reddish metal container of approximately 5 meters long, 2 wide by 3
high was connected to the electricity grid with drillings to install video
cameras and placed in the areas of the Provincial Palace of the Pioneers ¨
Jose Luis Miranda¨ in Carretera Central and Street Aleman.
From its location they can monitor the home of the director of Cubanacan
Press and Reporters Without Frontiers 2006 Prize winner located at
Street Aleman 615 A, between Mosionero and Hospital.
According to an employee of the pioneer’s center, no one, including members
of the Surveillance and Protection Corps of the facility, cannot come or ask
about such a container which was placed at the scene late at night and is
only accessible to staff of the Interior Ministry.
