Cuban activist detained under heavy police operative
CAMAGUEY, CUBA- February 1st (Ernesto Cabrera Corría /
www.plantados.org) - The Cuban Political Police conducted a heavy operative
in order to arrest Felipe Martin Campanioni, an activist of the Cuban 24th
of February Movement.
Campanioni was visiting friends when he heavy police operative arrested him
and took him in handcuffs to a police station on the area. Afterwards, he
was transferred to another unit of the National Revolutionary Police located
in Carretera Central y Cielo, in the city of Camaguey.
The police searched his home located at Avenue Madan Curi, Building 2, Apt.
#9 between B and C, Neighborhood Previsora, city of Camaguey, alledging they
were looking for bycicle parts, but they could not find any.
Felipe Martin Campanioni is presently under arrest at the 3rd Unit of the
Political Police.
Informed over the telephone from Camaguey to the offices of Plantados
hasta la Libertad y la Democracia en Cuba Ernesto Corría Cabrera, and sent
