Home decorated with anti government propaganda.
SANTA CLARA, CUBA, February 12 (Yoel Espinosa Medrano, Cubanacan
Press/Puenteinfocubamiami.org) - Last January 29th, Aramilda Contreras
Rodriguez, mother of the independent journalist Idania Yanes Contreras,
decorated her home in Santa Clara with anti- government signs in response to
the recent beating her daughter received at the hands of government
officials.
This reporter noted that the home located at #93 C, Marta Abreu Extension,
between the B and C municipality, had a big sign which read “DOWN WITH THE
CASTRO REGIME”, as well as hundreds of stickers that said; If want change “I
DO NOT COOPERATE WITH THE REGIME”, ‘I DO NOT SQUEAL”.
Idania Yanes Contreras is the director of the Villa Clara Press Agency and
she suffered blows at the hand of the Cuban repressive machine that lead to
her bleeding from her right ear, inflammation of her cheekbones and bruises
and abrasions on her back and limbs.
