They threatened the president of the College of
Independent Teachers in Cuba
RANCHUELO, CUBA - February 19 (Felix Gutierrez Reyes, Cubanacan Press /
Puenteinfocubamiami.org) – Last February 12, at around 5:00 in the afternoon,
two officers of the National Revolutionary Police ( PRN), detained Luis
Daniel Silva Quintana, president of the College of Independent Teachers in
Cuba.
Silva Quintana was detained at his residence and police officers threatened
him with a 4 year prison term under a supposed crime of "Social Danger" if
he continued with his activities in the pacific opposition.
According to the source the officers also belittled Roberto de Miranda who
is the Honorary President of the CPIC.
