SANTA CLARA, CUBA - March 4 (Yoel Espinosa Medrano, Cubanacan Press /
Puenteinfocubamiami.org) - Members of the Christian Workers Union of Cuba
met in a Santa Clara Church last February 27th to pray for all political
prisoners in the island nation
Jose Alberto Ocana Calcine, Secretary of the organization in said territory
stated that a prayer session led by Pastor Asbel Carbonel, was held in the
Baptist Church "The Trinity of Santa Clara, where 15 trade unionists along
with more than 150 parishioners prayed to the Lord for the immediate and
unconditional release of all political prisoners and those of conscience.
The source added that the religious congregation, located on Street Rafael
Tristá in the corner of John Bruno Zayas, of the provincial capital, also
worshipped God with songs and as they looked to the nation’s future changes,
they implored for peace for the Cuban people.
